So I just went to Fashion Week!
It’s been an intense week, with a lot of running. It was non-stop: going to shows, transferring and organising images, noting interesting collections, changing clothes, putting on some make-up to make myself “presentable”, at the same time looking for a new apartment in Paris.
Despite my shy personality, I managed to put myself out there on the street. As I never consider myself as a “fashion blogger”, and my designer background always tell me that fashion has to be comfortable, I could not manage to wear some chunky high heels or dress in a flashy way. There I was, with only a pair of cream sneakers, a denim dress and a crossbody.
Mmmm…I’ve been looking for a perfect denim dress for ages!
It has to be in a perfect blue colour, I always prefer it to be in blue blue to greenish blue. Faded blue can be interesting too. Some pockets, big buttons. A belt! I always love unusual touches, the contrast between forms and materials. We’ve seen many flowy, silk dresses with belt, so for a denim dress a belt is such a pretty touch to enhance the feminine form that contrasts with the tough material.
The dress is long enough to wear in autumn, too. The moment I saw this in Kilo Shop – a famous vintage chains in Paris – I knew it has to be mine. There are several Kilo Shops in Paris but my favourite one is the one in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the clothes are selected with such quality and taste, and very organised into sections and colours.
I paired it with a pair of Nike sneakers. If you are afraid that the big form of sneakers is not elegant (like me), pick white or cream. White is quite normal… So I went for cream. It goes with everything!
Practical is my fashion philosophy these days 🙂 I’m off for running again! My class has started.
